Ike Shupe joined the firm in 1981, and has significant experience in real estate transactions with emphasis on municipal zoning and land use law applicable to residential, commercial and industrial development, including the EDS/Legacy development in Plano, Alliance Airport in north Fort Worth, the Circle T Ranch in Westlake, and the American Airlines Center and Victory projects in Downtown Dallas.

Mr. Shupe has represented clients in the acquisition, annexation, zoning and development of major mixed-use projects, including extensive experience in negotiating annexation service loans and development agreements for public development of infrastructure and municipal services to support planned private development. He has also represented clients in negotiating public/private partnerships that provide development incentives such as tax abatements, tax increment financing and public improvement districts. He has extensive experience in representing developers within special taxing districts such as municipal utility districts, fresh water supply districts, and water control improvement districts.

Mr. Shupe received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, and is active in many professional and civic organizations.
