Mr. Petitt is President of Petitt Barraza LLC, a full-service civil engineering and surveying firm in Richardson, Texas. Founded as Petitt & Associates in 1998, Petitt Barraza LLC offers its clients large-scale project expertise with attention to detail and personal service. Petitt Barraza is one of the region's most capable firms in the planning and development of special utility districts such as municipal utility districts, fresh water supply districts, water control and improvement districts, public improvement districts and others.

Mr. Petitt has served as the Principal-In-Charge, Project Manager and Design Engineer for some of the most complex engineering assignments in North Texas. Mr. Petitt's project, the ATSF/Alliance Consolidated Transportation Center and Intermodal Facility, received the ASCE Outstanding Civil Engineering Award for Texas in 1994 and the Eminent Conceptor's award for the best engineering project for all engineering disciplines from the Texas Consulting Engineers Council in 1994. In 1980, Mr. Petitt received a letter of commendation from the City of Houston for presenting the perfect set of plans with no reviewing agency comments.

Recent project successes include some of North Texas' most successful residential communities, such as the Savannah and Providence communities along with numerous other large-scale master-planned communities. Mr. Petitt has over 30 years of experience and is a registered Texas Professional Engineer and Texas Registered Public Land Surveyor. He holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Houston.
