Providence Elementary Exemplary Rated
HUFFINES REWARDS TEACHERS
When Huffines Communities begins planning a new a Signature community, quality neighborhood schools play an important part in the overall creation. “Our communities are designed around schools being an integral part of the neighborhood. We strongly believe in exceptional education for the families in our communities and do everything we can to help provide that,” he said. We are very excited that Providence Elementary received the highest rating of "Exemplary" from the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
In a recent meeting called by Dr. Ray Braswell, the Superintendent of Denton ISD and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Roger Rutherford to recognize all their hard, the roomful of dedicated teachers was congratulated by developer Donald Huffines.
He expressed the appreciation that he and everyone at Huffines Communities felt for what they had done for the children and families of the fast-growing community. He then surprised everyone with a generous and completely unexpected gift. each and every teacher was given a $100 Visa gift card!
In addition, Donald Huffines had one more gift to present. In recognition of her leadership in reaching this goal, Susan Bolte, Principal of Providence Elementary, was given a pair of tickets to an upcoming Dallas Stars hockey game.
Good teachers care about the future of the children and want to give them the very best opportunities. When they receive the recognition of an "Exemplary" rating, the teachers know their hard work has paid off. This unprecedented gift by the Huffines Communities, however, showed them how much they are truly appreciated by the community itself.
Providence Elementary was the only Denton Independent School District (DISD) campus that received an exemplary rating out of all twenty-nine DISD campus locations. Less than 10% of the schools in the state receive such a high rating. This was a tremendous accomplishment.
